Student Spotlight: Shannon Gregory

Shannon Gregory is a Masters candidate at Clemson University studying Wildlife and Fisheries Biology.  Her undergraduate work examined the impacts of ocean acidification on fiddler crab limb regeneration.  As a graduate student she has been examining vitellogenin production in male blue crabs as a bio-indicator of exposure to endocrine disrupting compounds.  Shannon is currently a research technician at the Savannah River Ecology Lab where she is assisting with a raccoon translocation experiment and a transgenerational mosquito study examining pesticide and metal exposure.  Following graduation this spring, Shannon hopes to embark on a career in research and public outreach.
